.PREVIEW files and .thumbnail files – what's up with these?

When I look at hidden files on my computer, I see a .PREVIEW and .thumbnail file for just about every actual webpage (e.g. .html, .php) file. The .PREVIEW files are especially problematic because when I do multi-file searches (I use BBEdit for this), I have to sort through all these useless(?) .PREVIEW files which are identical(?) to their partner files. E.g. If I have an index.html file, I'll also have a .PREVIEW-index.hmtl file and a .thumbnail_index.png file.

This might be a MacOS issue and not a Flux 7.1.11 issue. I noticed these extra files years ago. It's easy enough to ignore hidden files, but lately I'm making more multi-file changes and these .PREVIEW files have become a hassle.

Is it okay if I delete .PREVIEW files? Is it okay if I delete .thumbnail files?
